Windows 10 enterprise e1 e3 e5 free. Announcement Discussions
Extending unlimited dial-in across the SKUs is simply the latest example of how we regularly deliver new value to support the changing needs of our customers. This is the first substantive price update since Office was released in June , not including foreign exchange adjustments. Customers were first notified of the change in August — providing customers six months of advance notification ahead of March 1, , the date the price updates go into effect.
Since Office was first released June , we have added 24 new apps and more than 1, features. In the past few years, we have introduced Microsoft Teams as the only solution with meetings, chats, calls, collaboration, and the ability to automate business processes. This builds on investments in real-time collaboration in the desktop apps, mentions, modern comments, auto-save and modern versioning, and a host of capabilities that make collaboration natural. We have added capabilities like DLP for documents and emails, conditional access for Office , Office messaging encryption, and attack surface reduction capabilities.
In August , we also announced Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Plan 1 public preview , bringing next-generation protection, attack surface reduction, and access to the Microsoft Defender console. And we have added new AI-supported capabilities that help automate tasks, find the information we need, and help us communicate in ways that are more accessible for everyone.
As hybrid work evolves, we will continue to innovate in Microsoft This is the right time to update our pricing. Although there are still questions and uncertainty, we see clear signs of economic recovery around the world.
Moreover, over the past few years our competitors have increased prices, in some cases aggressively. We simply have a better story and proven track record of reinvestment in the product and consistently delivering new value to our customers. For commercial customers, updated pricing will go into effect on March 1, , providing roughly six months of notification. Price increases for US Government cloud customers will be implemented in a phased manner due to broader US Government price rationalization and a 10 percent annual price increase cap.
Note that this phased price increase is available only for US Government as required by local regulations and is not available for public sector customers worldwide. Yes, the pricing will affect both annual and monthly billing options and should be effective at the next renewal after March 1, Unless otherwise noted, all US dollar increases will also be reflected in local currency pricing. We are currently working on specific currencies and will provide details on February 1.
In the meantime, advise customers that prices in local currencies will increase about the same percentage as the percentage increase in US dollars. Sellers should not lead with Early Commit or imply that use of Early Commit is a way to avoid the price increase, absent an upsell. Available Empowerment does include the use of prior-month price list, early commits, and early renewals for a maximum of three months. These policies should not be used for the sole purpose of avoiding the price increase.
Do not use prior-month price lists to avoid the price increase; use for extended negotiations or requests for proposals RFPs where pricing was communicated and locked well before being formally quoted.
Early Renewals a separate empowerment policy from Early Commit should be used only if specifically requested by the customer to solve for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and consolidations as stated in the policy. Do not use to address pricing concerns. If doing Early Commits for as-is renewals, the strategy is to capture the full price increase on Office E3 and Office E5.
Deals that require Early Commit beyond the three-month window should be escalated through your local Microsoft contacts. Requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Consider the use of Early Commit flexibility for deals that drive Microsoft E3 or E5 upsell opportunities as usual, the Deal Desk decision is dependent on the whole merits of the deal with its other concessions and investments. Expect to see reductions in expiring discounts for as-is renewals seeking Early Commit as a consequence of realizing the price increase.
The standard waterfall applies. We will have the official pricing preview of the updated Microsoft pricing across all channels available on February 1 as part of our standard process.
We will continue to offer the Office E1 Compete offering to meet competitive pricing in select geographies. No, this announcement does not include any changes to the licensing or usage rights of the Microsoft or Office products, outside the specific changes that affect Audio Conferencing. Extending unlimited dial-in capabilities across the paid commercial products is simply the latest example of how we regularly deliver new value to support the changing needs of our customers. Even as cloud connectivity increases, we know that people join Teams meetings while they are on the go or struggling with a bad internet connection.
Currently included with our premium SKUs, we have come to see dial-in as an important part of the complete Teams meeting experience.
Commercially available in more than 70 countries and with interactive support in 44 languages and dialects, unlimited dial-in provides peace of mind that users will be able to join their Teams meetings from virtually any device, regardless of location.
The two price changes are not related. As a specialty product intended for specific scenarios, we plan to increase the price of Office Professional Plus, Office Standard, and the individual apps by up to 10 percent at the time of general availability.
As a product intended for regulated systems or process control devices, Office LTSC does not come with much of the value that has come to Microsoft over the past decade, such as Microsoft Teams, collaboration capabilities like mentions or modern comments, security and compliance capabilities like DLP for email and documents, management capabilities like Intune, or AI-enabled capabilities like Editor, Researcher, Designer, or Translation. The two changes are complementary.
Similarly, we are updating the price for Microsoft for the first time since launch to reflect new value added to the product over the past decade. Structurally, the two changes align with each other. Interest in Windows has been phenomenal. Due to overwhelming and unprecedented demand of Windows customer trials, we have had to pause new trial subscriptions.
And most of the interest we have received has focused on our higher performance options. But at its core, the value of Windows is in how it dramatically simplifies the deployment and management of a virtual solution. Our first priority is to continue adding value to Microsoft to address the evolving needs of our customers. This is the first substantive update to our list price since Office was released in June and reflects the significant value that we have added over that time.
We regularly evaluate the pricing of our offerings based on the value that we are delivering to customers. The Microsoft price updates announced on August 19 do not affect pricing for the Viva modules. Examples of new value added to Microsoft Business Premium since that product was first launched include:. Also, at Ignite we announced Microsoft Defender for Business — a cost-effective, easy-to-use, enterprise-grade endpoint prevention and protection solution — which is now in preview and will be available to Business Premium customers in the upcoming months.

This new offer will include unlimited toll dial-in minutes, 60 dial-out minutes to United States and Canada phone numbers pooled at the tenant level, and Operator Connect Conferencing.
The 60 dial-out minutes per user, per month pooled at the tenant level to United States and Canada phone numbers that will be part of the new SKU rolling out on March 1, will function the same as the 60 dial-out minutes pooled at the tenant level to 44 Zone A countries available today as part of the existing Audio Conferencing subscription.
There are no changes to Office E5 and Microsoft E5 at this time. Audio Conferencing as it exists today will continue to be part of Office E5 and Microsoft E5, which include unlimited toll dial-in minutes and 60 dial-out minutes per user, per month pooled at the tenant level to 44 Zone A countries. The existing subscription includes unlimited toll dial-in minutes, 60 dial-out minutes per user, per month to 44 Zone A countries pooled at the tenant level, and Operator Connect Conferencing.
Audio Conferencing is currently included only with our premium SKUs, but we have come to see dial-in as an important part of the complete Teams meeting experience. The promo was just that — a limited, time-bound opportunity for customers to experience our Audio Conferencing capabilities.
The promo came with several preconditions and usage requirements. Education customers will continue to access the existing Audio Conferencing SKU at their discounted rate.
The new Audio Conferencing select dial-out SKU includes unlimited toll dial-in minutes, 60 dial-out minutes per user, per month pooled at the tenant level to United States and Canada phone numbers, and Operator Connect Conferencing. There is no price change to pay-as-you-go models. Customers will continue to pay for minutes through Communications Credits. For the new Audio Conferencing select dial-out SKU, customers will need Communication Credits to pay for any dial-out minutes that go beyond the 60 dial-out minutes per user, per month pooled at the tenant level to United States and Canada phone numbers.
Or for dial-out minutes to other countries beyond United States and Canada. Not automatically. The key will be to position that Microsoft is constantly working to improve its services and the value it provides for customers, and that will continue to be the case with Audio Conferencing going forward. Separate from Audio Conferencing, there have been multiple improvements to the suites over the years that all regions have been able to take advantage of. No changes have been made to the country list where the existing Audio Conferencing subscription is available for purchase.
Other countries where Audio Conferencing operates have a pay-per-minute model only and will continue to operate that way. Customers can add the new Audio Conferencing select dial-out SKU to their price list when it is available dropping down the current SKU to 0 units at renewal.
If the tenant admin enables the Audio Conferencing select dial-out SKU at the same time they disable the existing Audio Conferencing subscription, there are no changes or impact to the user. Since Audio Conferencing in India has a different operating model and is not a first-party service, we are not announcing any changes to the Audio Conferencing business model in India at this time.
Customers who have signed up for the promotion during the promotional period are required to comply with the terms and conditions of the promotion before moving to the new Audio Conferencing select dial-out SKU. Learn more: Audio Conferencing promotion.
The last day of the promotional period is May 31, , with the new Audio Conferencing select dial-out SKU starting to roll-out on March 1, I think that the solutions that Microsoft got for telephony are outstanding and provides a great opportunity for partners to build a viable practice around. The integration with Teams is a competitive differentiator. Partners can then add ISM solutions that makes the solutions even better for certain scenarios and customer segments.
I’ve personally witnessed how great Tendfor are in the callcenter space but there are of course many other cutting edge IVS around too. Also, do we know when this will end or will be free with no expiry date? This is not a promotion offer with a defined end date, but a regular offer.
